Arjen van Duijvenbode of Cint Netherlands gives us his view on innovation and the Benelux region. Originally written for the Cint newsletter, August issue.
Just back from a short but wonderful vacation climbing mount Etna, I was asked to write something about Cint’s new Amsterdam office and our focus on the Benelux region.
I joined Cint in April, having previously worked at Bloomerce/SSI and Lightspeed. My first months have been filled with setting up shop and trying to get the Benelux market up to speed on who we are and what we can offer.
“When you love what you do, the world pays attention”, someone at Cint quoted at me once. Is Cint’s love for groundbreaking solutions making the Market Research world listen? Increasingly so, I think, but would like to add “when you do things differently, be prepared to do a lot of explaining”. But it’s much more fun to lead the way than follow.
We already have been fortunate to run some projects for large MR firms here and gain their trust. It is still early days for me at Cint, but this gives me confidence for the future and seeing how the panel business evolve, I am very excited how Cint moves forward their DIY research tools and have a great solution on declining response rates by engaging partners with panels built on existing communities.
My plan for the coming year is to make the Cint Panel Exchange the best and most representative source for sampling in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Representativeness our way means by motivation for participation, by cultural backgrounds, interests and social values, not just nationally representative by age, gender and location.
I am glad to announce that we are in the process of implementing the Dutch online research panel of Motivaction, one of the leading full research agencies in the Netherlands, also known by its founder, Frits Spangenberg, who was the former president of ESOMAR.
With Motivaction on board, Cint will have access to 60.000 panel members in the Netherlands. Motivaction has a strong quality online panel with many background variables on their panel members.
In addition to this, we are also building panels in the Netherlands together with Hachette Filipacchi Media, known for Elle Magazine, Quote Magazine, Red, Sante, Elle Girl and many others magazine brands.
For the coming months, I will be focusing to increase panel build in the whole Benelux region. Have a great August and please contact me if I can help you with your research needs.
