Annual Median Income

Cint uses the median household income to provide a point of comparison between income-earners in each country.
Where the mean income average is the sum of all parts (or aggregate income) divided by the number of items (or income earners), the median average is the point that divides the population into two groups; half of the population makes an income below the median income amount, and half makes more than that amount. The median income is seen as a better indicator as it avoids the effect of dramatically high or low values.

You may want to keep these dates in mind as they might affect the response rate and your success in launching an online research study in Netherlands.

Nice to Know about The Netherlands

A quarter of the country’s population lives within 80 km of the capital and nearly 85% of the population in the Netherlands owns a bike! Bicycles are optimal for the narrow roads in cities such as Amsterdam, where cyclists zip along the streets as patio-goers sipping coffee and ales sit back and people-watch. Next to Scandinavians, the Dutch are the greatest consumers of coffee in the world with over 3 cups of coffee consumed daily.

The Dutch have established a liberal society over the years and enjoy a coalition government. This means that much of the political activity and decisions are based on compromise.

The country gets a substantial amount of attention for their laws on cannabis, however the regulations surrounding that substance have been implemented to control consumption, crime and harm to users. In recent years, it has been noted by many within the global community that the Dutch model has seen great success. In fact, most adults in the Netherlands do not consume marijuana; however almost 30% of the population smokes cigarettes and finds comfort doing so on the many patios the country has to offer.

Netherlands was where lenses and the first telescope was invented in the 16th century (mistakenly thought to be invented by Galileo in Italy), and was the home place to famous artists Vincent Van Gogh and Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn.

Famous tourist destinations and establishments include museums and historical sites such as the Anne Frank House, the International Court of Justice and thousands of flower plains.
