As a business, Cint has never been in a better position than it is today.
From founding this company many years ago alongside a four-strong team, I stand proud today whilst looking back at what has been achieved.
More than ten years on, with the support of fantastic employees, savvy customers and great investors we have successfully provided solutions to the ever-changing data-collection business within the market research industry. These changes are apparent every day, with large scale MR firms looking to alter their supply chain management solutions so as to drive out inefficiencies and as a result, creating resources to focus more on the task of insight delivery to their clients, with better quality and at a higher speed.
As the founder, I personally feel this is the ideal scenario and testament to our vision. Today we are operating a marketplace that actually works, with almost 2,000 buying clients in over 40 markets and more than 1,000 partner suppliers in over 50 markets, with 25% ‘trading’ on both sides, in a borderless and frictionless solution. We are also profitable.
In the midst of this progression and positivity, I feel it is time for me to hand over the reins, which may seem odd given how well things are going. I have given this much thought as well as having discussed it thoroughly with my board and we all believe this is the right time to hand over to a successor who can guide the business through the next stages. Another proof of us seeing this as entering a new stage is the recruitment of a new generation of CFO: Hanna Jahnstedt. She comes with 15 years of experience from Goldman Sachs and the PE sector.
I am committed to guide the business through this transition period, helping to find the right successor and being on hand to help them face the challenges. The Board has started the process to find the right CEO for a company that is at the heart of the change within this market – it’s a great opportunity that will be hard to find elsewhere. Our aim is to have a new CEO in place as soon as possible, and at that time, I will return to my seat on the board.
I am extremely grateful for the happy times that people at Cint, customers and partners alike, have given me. It has been a blast, and together we have created something truly fantastic!
