Cint has transitioned from being predominantly focused on Market Research customers (selling access to our programmatic exchange for research projects, on a transactional and operational level), to selling data solutions technology to new industry verticals including MarTech, AdTech (DMPs, DSPs, SSPs) and Digital Media Publishers.

To serve these verticals, Cint has set up a new strategic business development team in San Francisco and New York City. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing strategic alliances and partnerships in order to grow this new division, currently referred to as “NextGen” as it is a critical component in the evolution and development of the company’s Next Generation of tools and capabilities.

The position will be focused on executing the Next Generation strategy with a key focus on generating a significant new business pipeline consisting of MarTech, AdTech and Digital Media Publisher (Supply) prospects offering the following value propositions:

  • Incremental Revenues
  • Additive Audience Insights
  • Audience Discovery
  • Audience Validation
  • Ad Attribution
  • Ad Effectiveness
  • Look-Alike Modelling
  • A/B Testing

Role Responsibilities:

  • #1 is to build and drive new revenue streams for the business through strategic, locked-in relationships
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities in line with the NextGen strategy
  • Prospect and qualify potential supply partners
  • Pursue, negotiate and close supply partnerships in collaboration with SVP
  • Liaison internally with sales, supply, marketing and product teams in order to develop and refine the NextGen offering and value proposition
  • Manage projects to onboard and ensure success of partnerships
  • Build long term relationships with senior level decision makers of partners and their respective agencies and with internal colleagues
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with strategic MarTech, AdTech and Digital Media Publisher channel partners
  • Manage existing partners, set partner service goals, and measure results with established partners
  • Follow-up and report on the partnership strategy according to established processes
  • Exercise judgment and adopt Cint sales methodologies to qualify opportunities, manage your time effectively and optimize sales potential in each account
  • Ensure client retention and high satisfaction scores through relationship development

Essential Experience & Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of Publisher/AdTech solution selling experience of data, digital media or technology solutions
  • Proven and successful (strategic) solution sales (value selling), negotiation and account management experience
  • Strong academic background (minimum of university degree)
  • Demonstrable experience in generating net new business
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Strong understanding of the emerging mar-tech, digital media, and consumer data ecosystems
  • Experience in working internationally with global teams
  • Effective in managing and influencing others, negotiating, partnering, communicating, delivering presentations
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer Insights as a discipline
  • Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment

Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities (preferred but not all essential):

  • Self-motivated, self-managed proactive, risk taking, and a very high drive to succeed
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong at developing deep personal relationships to key people/DMs in customer organizations
  • Social Selling experience and a strong LinkedIn and digital profile
  • Understanding of solution selling methodologies
  • Ability to sell both an application and advise on implementation and integration of a platform
  • Successful track record in formally presenting to C-level
  • Ability to negotiate complex deals ‘up and across’ organizations at multiple levels
  • Brings own network and address book of MarTech, AdTech and Digital Media targets
  • Fun and open-minded personality

Travel Requirement:

  • You will be required to travel within the market to meet existing and potential clients and from time to time, within assigned territory.
