Wifog’s popularity and rapid growth created a need for the company to look for new partners outside of the advertising industry that are able to provide activities for their users and generate a steady revenue stream for them.

Wifog Challenge Cint Technology

We proposed a mutually beneficial partnership where Wifog would offer their users the chance to participate in market research studies in exchange for getting more data on the Wifog network.

By doing this Wifog became one of the panel partners in Cint’s marketplace; marketing their panel globally to Cint’s clients who run thousands of surveys each month through the OpinionHUB platform.

Through Cint’s Push Supply API, Wifog can now retrieve a list of available surveys and match them to the users that are online in the Wifog network.

The matching of Wifog users and the Cint API is updated in near real-time and looks at clients’ quotas, OpinionHUB business rules and the individual Wifog users’ profiles.

Through the API Wifog knows who participated in the surveys, their outcome and therefore who is eligible for a reward.

Wifog operates with Cint Technology

Wifog users now receive short mobile and tablet friendly surveys that, when completed, give them free data and create revenue for Wifog itself (Cint panel partners earn a revenue share).
All surveys match the rules set by Wifog (device type, survey length, incidence rate, etc.).

As a panel partner in the Cint network Wifog can now do research on their users at a very low cost as well as conduct research projects by engaging with the millions of other panel members available in OpinionHUB.

Additionally, the Cint Optimizer stores data every time a user answers a profiling question, data that can then be used by Wifog with or without additional behavioral data to better understand who uses their service, what parts of it and how frequently.

Wifog's panel revenue with the help of Cint

After the initial implementation, testing and rollout to Wifog users, panel activity spiked, setting the trend we can see here

“Wifog is a valuable panel partner in our platform, significantly increasing our sample offering in Sweden and helping to meet the demands from local and international market researchers.

Through this partnership we also kept true to our mission: to provide access to different types of panel partners so that our clients can engage with a variety of individuals and segments of society as they live their day. This enables our clients to conduct high quality and representative surveys.”

Per-Erik Karnekull
Country Manager, Sweden & Turkey at Cint

“We are very excited about the partnership with Cint; so far it’s been great in providing interesting surveys and credit for our users on top of generating a growing revenue source for us.

With the increased profiling data we got from the panel, we are now in discussions with our clients to conduct more targeted advertisements and offers for our users.”
