Accelerating diversity for International Women’s Day 2020

Company Culture

Some of our core values as a company include accountability, collaboration and innovation. Intrinsic in these values is a commitment to social causes, such as diversity and well-being. As a company that prides itself in speaking up, delivering innovation and seeking continuous improvement, aligning with specific causes throughout the year helps us uphold core values that support our culture.

This is one reason that we decided to celebrate International Women’s Day 2020, being held on March 8 worldwide. You may have seen a flood of social posts and images as our team got on board with this important celebration with its #eachforequal message, helping accelerate diversity and gender equity at Cint. As one of our team members posted on LinkedIn, we aren’t just paying lip service to this mission.

Jane Attale, our VP of Sales Operations EMEA, wrote: “When I started at Cint over nine years ago we had only one female on the management team. We made it our mission to change this and I am proud to say that we now have a higher-than-average % of women executives at Cint! Diverse leadership is just one way we celebrate.”

We’re proud to challenge stereotypes and sit ahead of the curve with a high percentage of women executives in leadership positions. We know that diverse leadership —including women in particular—can bring manifold tangible benefits to business. Not only that, it is the right thing to do. As our COO JD Deitch put forth in his recent paper, “Women Executives in Market Research,” we still have a long way to go as an industry. However, he touts the benefits of “greater awareness of women’s issues and corporate commitments to diversity,” which ultimately, should be greater representation of women in senior leadership roles. We are pleased to be making progress on this front at Cint.

In fact, we just announced the latest addition to our executive team this week. Helene Stafferöd Westerlund has joined us as Chief Technology Officer, a role in which she will oversee our global engineering teams. She will be instrumental in completing the platform integration initiative that resulted from Cint coming together with sample technology company, P2Sample, last year.  As part of the executive team, she will help to set strategies and create the infrastructure needed for our continued growth and innovation. You can read more about her here. Join us in welcoming her to the team!

It’s important to further conversations about important topics such as equality and diversity. For International Women’s Day, we are proud to be part of the global voice that is celebrating the   economic, social, political, and cultural achievements of women. #WeAreCint
