Statement Subject

What is Modern Slavery?
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as forced labour, compulsory labour, servitude, human trafficking, and slavery. All of these acts involve the exploitation of a person, by another, for personal or commercial gain.
It is Cint’s stance that all human beings have the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work, and to protections against unemployment. Our policy below sets forth how Cint seeks to undertake and implement safeguards to assure that modern slavery is prohibited from our endeavours.

Cint’s Policy

Cint is committed to ensuring transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery in our operations. Cint has adopted a Human Rights Policy that sets forth the tenets of our belief in the equality of all humans. It is communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners who work with us at the conception of the business relationship and is publicly available on Cint’s website.

Our expectation of buyers and suppliers is further set forth in the respective terms that apply to either buyers or suppliers and in our Code of Ethics. These terms include specific prohibitions against the use of child or forced labour, and the expectation that entities who contract on our platform comply with applicable laws and all ethical standards available in our industry to protect the human rights of people. We expect buyers and suppliers to take specific steps on our platforms to ensure these obligations are met. Cint will not knowingly tolerate any customer or partner who violates these obligations.

Training

Cint provides training on policies and on the risk our business faces from supply chains that involve any form of modern slavery. We encourage employees at every level to take an active role in Cint’s compliance with our legal and ethical obligations, and Cint encourages employees to raise concerns about any issue with these obligations, including suspicions of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chain, at the earliest stage possible.

A Fair Future

We will continue to expand and extend the work we do with our employees, contractors, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that any form of forced labour, servitude, or human trafficking is excluded from our business.
