To learn more about how we built the brand-new Cint Engage from the ground up, and the benefits it can offer anyone looking to strengthen their monetization efforts, we spoke with some of the Cint team who worked on the product.

Why Engage, why now?

“This project is personal for me. With my long history in building and running market research panels, I’ve always aimed to create a truly scalable, worldwide system, and Engage is the realization of that vision,” says Philipp Rosenbeck, Senior Director, Product Management at Cint.

Having seen that the wider research industry was struggling with a combination of unsustainable business models and mediocre user experiences, both of which directly impact data quality, the product team at Cint saw an opportunity and an opening.

“Our foundational belief is that quality can only come from real people answering honestly,” says Rosenbeck. “So, we set out to build Cint Engage with a focus on creating a habit-forming, positive experience that encourages panelists to participate, providing the quality answers needed on the Cint Exchange.”

From design to deployment

Cint’s product team made the strategic decision to start from scratch two years ago, allowing them to develop a truly modern system that wouldn’t find itself limited by any form of legacy constraints.

Engage takes a customer-first approach, both for panelist and panel owners, prioritizing ease of use and relevance in every feature. The focus has always been on making the user experience straightforward and effective to boost both customer satisfaction and data quality.

“You can see this philosophy in action with our refactored offerwall, which groups surveys by length and incentive to give panelists a meaningful choice in surveys. This, combined with our flexible incentive system and post-survey feedback loop, is designed to keep panelists “in the zone” and eager to participate,” says Rosenbeck. 

“Cint Engage is human-centered, valuing our users and placing them at the heart of the design,” adds Product Designer India Berrow. “Not only did we act on feedback, we observed how people worked within the tool and crafted an intuitive experience that feels natural to both new and experienced users. This approach helps customers achieve their goals with ease.”

What’s next for Engage?

“We’ve built a strong foundation, but this is just the beginning,” says Rosenbeck. “Our roadmap is centered on continuous improvement in three key areas: recruitment, conversion, and retention.”

Cint’s product teams are actively working on additional features that aim to get more respondents into our customer surveys by deepening engagement, with additional incentive systems being added. 

“The goal is to provide our partners with even better tools for recruitment and retention, such as a referral system, which in turn enhances the entire Cint ecosystem with a growing community of dedicated, high-quality participants,” Rosenbeck says.
